Hi, I’m Tanya — writer, wanderer, and work-in-progress.
A year ago, I had a stable job, a seemingly solid marriage, and a life that looked great on paper. Now I have a suitcase, a pen, and an entirely new chapter. Turns out, rock bottom has decent Wi-Fi.
The P.L.A.Y. Papers is where I start over and write the whole damn thing in real time.
What is P.L.A.Y.?
It stands for Purpose, Liberation, Authenticity, You — and it’s become my compass for everything: how I travel, create, and live.
Purpose — doing what matters, even when it’s messy.
Liberation — letting go of the rules that never fit.
Authenticity — telling the truth, even when it shakes things up.
You — because you’re the magic ingredient. Always.

This is part newsletter, part memoir-in-motion, part permission slip for anyone building a life that finally feels like theirs.
We talk travel and transformation, business and belonging, heartbreak, humour, and the occasional spreadsheet (because yes, order and chaos can share a Google Doc).

So here I am — travelling solo, collecting stories about courage, connection, and the women whose voices deserve to be heard. Between trips, I’m also writing a fantasy adventure about what happens when colour starts to disappear from the world. (Spoiler: spellcheck and I are both thriving.)
